SsangYong’s product competitivity and marketability have steadily found favour around the world, and have been further endorsed recently by authoritative motoring magazines in the United Kingdom.

Musso has been chosen as the ‘Best Pick-up for payload’ by What Car? Magazine which ran its Car of the Year 2021 Awards for the 44thyear at the beginning of the year. The editor of What Car?, the well-known British car magazine, which is also highly regarded in Europe, said: ”The Musso Rhino is the best pick-up there is at doing what pick-ups are ultimately designed for: hauling stuff about. However, it’s also good to drive and live with, because its 2.2-litre diesel engine is impressively refined, and there’s a smart interior with tactile materials.”

Prior to this, the December issue of 4x4 Magazine, the UK specialist four-wheel-drive publication also picked Musso as its ‘Best Value’ model at the ‘Pick-up of the Year 2021’ category, notably for the third year running. The long-bed Musso Grand – known as the Musso Rhino LWB in Britain, was also voted as its ‘Best Individual Model’.

The editor at 4x4 Magazine said: “The pick-up market is laden with good-value trucks but none of them can match Musso for its combination of value for money, high specifications and stout towing and carrying abilities.” About the Musso Rhino, he added; “With a longer wheelbase, it has a massively enhanced load bay to enhance its already formidable practicality.”

Musso was also voted ‘Best Pick-up’ in the Diesel Car & Eco Car Magazine’s ‘Car of the Year 2020 Top 50 Awards’ for the second year running, building a solid position in the UK market based on excellent product quality and great value.

Commented a spokesperson for SsangYong Motor: “Our product competitiveness continues to be recognised around the world, and it is gratifying to have this endorsed through such prestigious awards, especially during the Covid pandemic when the global automotive market is under such pressure. We continue to actively promote our brand awareness and will be diversifying the product range in order to grow our share of the export market as we emerge from the virus.” <End>
