SsangYong Motor Company (CEO Johng-sik Choi;www.smotor.com/en) announced that the SsangYong Korando has scooped the class award for vehicles under £24,000 in The Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year 2018 in the United Kingdom.

In the 35th Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar Award at the Royal Autocar Club in London, 44 cars from 20 manufacturers were assessed by the judges, and the Korando 4x4 saw off stiff competition from other leading brands in the 'Vehicles under £24,000 Class'. Korando was the only Korean car among the tow car winners.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC) is an organization representing caravan and motorhome users in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was founded in 1907 and now is the largest caravan club in Europe having nearly 350,000 members. CAMC runs a number of annual awards and exhibitions including Towcar of the Year and the Motor Caravan Design Awards.

44 cars from 20 manufacturers were assessed by the judges including caravan specialized journalists, automotive journalists and club members, at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. Judges analyzed each vehicle inside and out, testing acceleration, braking, reversing, ergonomics, hill starts, visibility, traction, and gearbox suitability.
